‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Steve Burton To Permanently Leave After Sully’s Real Identity Reveal?

"The Young and the Restless" star Steve Burton dropped on his official Twitter account that he will soon be leaving the series. Burton portrays the character of Dylan McAvoy who is suggested to exit "The Young and the Restless" after the big revelation on the real father of his daughter, Sully.

Burton revealed his decision on leaving "The Young and the Restless" in a series of tweets where he stated, "Hey everyone, with lots of reflection, I have decided to move on from @YandR_CBS at the end of my contract in December." The actor continued his tweet to state, "I've had an amazing time, but it feels right to move on to new adventures in my life."

"The Young and the Restless" actor also sent his respect to the cast and crew of the show which he described to be awesome. He ended his tweets by sending his gratitude to "The Young and the Restless" fans for all the support he received.

To recall, Burton joined CBS' "The Young and the Restless" in 2012, TV Line reported. He was reportedly introduced to "The Young and the Restless" by the show's former Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps.

Phelps apparently offered Burton a huge amount of salary in addition to a flexible short term contract with special schedule. Burton accepted the offer to join "The Young and the Restless" as he saw it as great opportunity that gives him more time to spend with his family while being able to work at the same time.

Meanwhile, Celeb Dirty Laundry pointed out that Burton's decision to leave "The Young and the Restless" is in perfect timing with his character's possible exit in the show. The report claimed that the revelation on Sully's real father may be used as a reason for Dylan to leave town and the whole of "The Young and the Restless" show.

"The Young and the Restless" producers have not confirmed how Dylan will be written out of the storyline as of this posting. There are no reports whether or not Burton's character may see a recast as well. "The Young and the Restless" airs every Monday to Friday on CBS.
